Preport

12.20.2009

  • Ocular visit to Splendido with our coordinator Honey Malamug. Love what they did with their Christmas decors this year. I'm glad we switched to winter wonderland inspired centerpieces because I think it'll go well with the decorations of the golfers' lounge:

Here's the first thing that caught my eye when we entered the lounge:

a "Caleruega" cake.

Honey thought it was for a birthday party. My guess is even more specific. I thought it was a for a birthday party of a priest. We're both wrong. It turned out they were dressing up the place for an afternoon wedding yesterday. No pun intended to the celebrants but it's just not my kind of cake.

  • This..this is my kind of cake...Mary Anne of Topcakes sent this lay-out to me this afternoon. I'll request for minor changes (bigger topper if possible..darker shade of red..etc) but we're pretty much sold with that design.

  • Headed out to Alabang Town Center and SM Southmall for shopping! Our wedding could have been a good excuse for us not to give gifts this Christmas but a lot of relatives came home to spend their holiday here we thought it'll be nice to give something back :)

  • Gown pick-up is tomorrow! I have a feeling that this dress will single-handedly give me all the holiday cheer that i need. I hope the tons of things I have to accomplish before the Big day will keep me from trying the dress on for the 3rd time. My mom is so against the fitting she'll probably find a way to keep the dress away from me until big day..
  • I found a way too to use the leftover ribbons of our kissing bells. Tadaaa...I used it as gift bag ribbons:

  • Our secondary sponsors' arrival from Australia prompted me to finish my bridesmaids' headpieces in one sitting. Indeed, I work best under pressure. Working with feathers, tule and bird cage veils here are the variations I came up with:

    • Those black headpieces made me want to wear black veils too. But I reckoned it'll be a tad too deviant for a church wedding. My taste might be unusual but I still want to make sure that the priest will let me walk down the aisle..
    • down-the-aisle my flapper girl dream will turn into reality with these flower girl dresses:
