Kikuchi Fujimoto

Final Histopathologic Diagnosis:

Nasopharynx:
A. Nasopharyngeal tissue with lymphoid hyperplasia. No evidence of malignancy in this
specimen.

Lymph Nodes (left lateral mass):
B. Necrotizing Lymphadenitis.

Comment:

The lymph node findings are highly suggestive of Kikuchi Fujimoto disease, a benign and usually self-limiting condition, that typically presents as fever of unknown origin. Close clinical follow up is suggested.
